Little Wonders Preschool opened its doors in 2002. Prior to that the Director, Nanette Sposito worked for the OUESD in their preschool for children with special needs and at The Lynn Center, in Pittsburg as an Instructional Aid. Nanette has over 17 years experience in early childhood development. She holds an Associate Teacher Certificate from Bakersfield College and an Associate Teacher permit for Early Childhood Education from the State of California's Commission of Teacher Credentialing and is presently continuing her education.
Little Wonders is one of the very few home-based preschools in the Delta area that is accredited through the National Association for Family Child Care. At Little Wonders you and your child receive the highest standards of care set by a national organization. Accreditation would not have been possible without the support from the Contra Costa Child Care Council & First 5 of Contra Costa. She is also a mentor for ELDP participants; assisting other providers with NAFCC accreditation.
Nanette has volunteered for years in the Oakley community, serving on Executive Boards for the organizations she served. Little Wonders was voted The Best Preschool and one of The Best Daycares by Oakley readers of The Oakley Press in 2008 & 2009. We are very honored to have received these prestigious awards. Thank you Oakley! Most importantly, Nanette adores her work and the children & families that make it possible.
